We had an east vs west ward elders quorum softball tournament today and it was pretty darn fun. It was the first time in probably almost 10 years that I had played softball. I used to play baseball in high-school but because of repeated shoulder injuries and surgeries I kind-of gave up on throwing a baseball or softball. It looks like my surgeries have repaired my shoulder pretty well because I was able to throw the ball no problem. I can’t gun it like I used to but at least I can throw it from left field to 3rd base.
Our quorum did pretty well and we had some key people that got the ball most of the time. Our shortstop and left-fielder rocked! I played first base, center-field and left-field. Tammy was mad that I was playing outfield because of my arm but I wanted to test it out.
In the last inning I took a hard bounce to my right pinky finger and partially tore the nail off. It hurt like crazy and was bleeding everywhere. Hopefully it won’t affect my swimming.
After the game the brave ones stayed for some hotdogs and brats. It was windy and freezing and half the group stayed in their cars. All in all it was a lot of fun
